Price is not really the issue – most rental prices are pretty much the same.
Choice of car is also not an issue. To be candid, most makes and models are also pretty much the same – after all you are not buying the car, right?
So what are the factors used to decide between on company and another? (Continued below)
Choose a company close to where you live. Don’t spend a lot of time and money (time is money these days) travelling across town just to rent a car – keep it local. There are plenty of companies and outlets based near you. Keep it local.
Choose a company who complete most of the paperwork over the phone before you arrive so you don’t waste time hanging around at the rental desk answering a bunch of routine questions. So basically you can sign and drive.
IMPORTANT – don’t rely on delivery and collection. It can be very frustrating for you if the car is held up in traffic or collection is delayed. If it’s raining, you can’t inspect the car properly and you might get charged for damage you didn’t cause. Choose a company that starts you off in a light, clean, bright & dry area.
If you choose a local rental outlet close by; you can collect the car as and when you need it.
Choose a company with 24 hour return facilities so you can return the car without having to wait for it to be collected.
